Description
Named for one of Nicholas Melillo’s grandfathers, Charter Oak Pegnataro comes out of AJ Fernandez’s factory in Nicaragua with a Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Jalapa and Estelí. The smoke leans mild to medium in strength and opens creamy, with cedar, toasted almond, pastry-like sweetness, baker’s spice, and a little earth and pepper tucked underneath. That 5 1/2 x 48 shape keeps the profile smooth and balanced, giving you a refined morning cigar with enough flavor to hold up next to coffee without getting too heavy.
