Cigar Question #1How do I keep mcigar burning evenly when smoking outside?

By Jared Gulick

This month’s question comes from Kris in Surprise, AZ. He writes, “When I’m outside, my cigar keeps burning all crazy. Up one side, then the other. I can’t figure out how to keep it straight. What am I doing wrong?” Kris, your question is about a problem likely affecting most smokers these days. With cigar stores and lounges largely closed, most smokers have taken to smoking at home – usually outside – with summer right around the corner. The good news is your burn going awry (often from canoeing) probably isn’t your fault when it’s happening outdoors. The better news is that it’s super easy to fix. Check out how you can keep your cigars burning straight in the video below!

Cigar Question #2: How do I remove a cigar band from my cigar?

By Gary Korb

There are plenty of videos on WHEN to remove a cigar band, but this question from Jack in Lubbock, Texas asks HOW to remove a cigar band.  Since removing a cigar band is something cigar smokers do almost subliminally, there’s really no “traditional” method. So, I’m sharing a few of my own personal techniques for removing the band from a cigar. Watch now and see if there are any similarities to how you do it.

Cigar Question #3: What’s better for lighting cigars, a soft flame or a torch lighter?

By John Pullo

So asks Frankand this is a great question, not only because how you light your cigar – and how WELL you light your cigar – will determine how well your cigar will burn, and really, sets the tone for your entire smoking experience. But there are so many choices: torches and Zippos and Bics and matches and spills and….So today we’ll talk a little about each flame, give some tips on toasting cigars, and answer Frank’s question. Watch now!
