It’s been a long year that most of us want to put in the rear view, but I think it’s a good time to stop, relax, spend some time with our families when socially responsible, and smoke a few new cigars while we’re doing it.

Roma Craft continues their homage to early man. Now they’ve tipped their hat to one of the oldest civilizations. A nod to the Baku people living in and around Cameroon, the Roma Craft Baka sports an African Cameroon wrapper atop a secret core of tobaccos. The smoke is floral and aromatic, adding medium-bodied layers of peanut, hazelnut, and vanilla. If you’re stringing up the holiday lights soon, this is a great cigar to enjoy while you warm up afterward.

Fonseca’s been a popular choice for cigar smokers for nearly 50 years, and now, the brand’s changed hands to My Father in Nicaragua. With an all new blend, My Father Fonseca is catered to the next generation of smokers with a wide array of spices, earthy sweetness, and an approachable amount of strength. I think it’ll make a nice after-dinner smoke as long as the meal isn’t too hearty. Plus, it’s a perfect partner to a mug of steaming hot cocoa.

First there was Siboney Reserve, then Maduro, and now Connecticut makes the triple play. So let’s talk strength. Aganorsa’s tobaccos have it, and in true Aganorsa form, they’ve rolled a Connecticut that’s a far cry from the mellow stuff that may have made you write them off. Big notes of pepper and spice dance with cedar, cream, and caramel in Siboney’s signature sizes. This is one cigar that you have to smoke to believe…and you’ll still be bewildered as to how a Connecticut can do what it does. Puff on this after shoveling snow and see how fast you thaw out!
