J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Chairman Stanford Newman first approached his friend Carlos Fuente Sr. about an idea he had in 1985. He wanted to make the first 'premium' cigar offered in bundles. Using perfectly-aged Dominican longfillers & binders rolled in your choice of the finest Connecticut shade-grown natural, or naturally-sweet broadleaf maduro wrappers, La Unica Cabinet No. 400 cigars are well-balanced, rich-tasting Dominican cigars, skillfully made by the same craftsmen who produce Arturo Fuente cigars.

Great smokeVery smooth, well constructed, burns down nice with a good amount of smoke. Will be a regular in my humidor.

These are SUPER smooth, burn perfectly, and produce a lot of smoke. Definitely will order more, but likely the larger sticks So I can enjoy longer and possibly even the maduro to see if they have a bit more strength.

Every cigar smoker needs a cigar like this in their humidor. It s light, slightly sweet and toasty. The construction, burn and draw are spot on. Yes it lacks dynamics, power, and transitions but it s the perfect cigar for pairing with anything you actually want to taste rich coffee, single malt, cognac as its neutrality actually allows you to taste what you are pairing with it rather than taking center stage. In its own it s easy, light and pleasant- albeit slightly boring. But with a strong cup of coffee or port, it becomes the perfect compliment.

This has become my go to cigar. It has a great taste while being smoked and a wonderful long lasting aftertaste. The burn is very even and produces a long ash. I have many cigars that are much more expensive but none that I enjoy more than the La Unica. It is the kind that you will smoke to a nub and wish it was longer.

I just fished one of these out of my Havana Footlocker where its been aging for five years to celebrate LSU's win over Auburn. Great consistency in burn, taste and enjoyment. I've only got a couple left that I've been aging. I'll get some more and let 'em sit.

Just received a 5 pack with my Boveda packs. I enjoy my Nubs for an after breakfast smoke on weekends. This fits well, nice mild, excellent draw and fair amount of smoke without burning too quick. When I order from Famous I can wmoke the day I receive, always fresh and right humidity. When ordering elsewhere I sometimes leave in my Humidor for 2-4 weeks.
