Fernandez took the softer road with this one, rolling his revived San Lotano line in Nicaragua and finishing it with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper for a mellow smoke that still carries real flavor. The Churchill format lets creamy coffee, toasted nuts, light cedar, and a flicker of pepper unfold at an easy pace, with a smooth finish that feels right at home in the first quiet hour of the day.
