The cigars are basically okay, not much change.I ve smoked these for probably 40 years, and when they came out with a new wrapper that said New, Milder taste quite a number of years ago, that certainly wasn t true. The new wrapper is much stronger and not nearly as mild as the original. I would be thrilled if they went back to the old one! And, occasionally I receive a batch with what appears to be bug holes in them, sometimes a cigar or two is broken or only half it s supposed length, and in this last order, one of the plastic tips on the cigar was smashed and the cigar was unusable until I took the tip off. Also, the packaging has some issues. First, the little gold ring near the top of the box under the TIPARILLO logo used to unwrap the cellophane used to have a little tab part that stuck out, allowing for easy opening. For the past 6 months or so, the little tab part is flush with the box and doesn t stick out anymore, making it very difficult to open now, and sometimes you even need a knife to get it open. Also, the ring that says PULL that opens the actual cigar has been inconsistent and sometimes doesn t open all the way which is also an issue. Obviously something has changed in the way the packaging is done.Overall the quality control seems to be iffy at times over the past 2 year which is disappointing.
