CAO Concert Amp
5 1/2 x 46 - Rosado - Box of 24
CAO Concert cigars were inspired by the brand's Nashville roots. Medium to full in body, CAO's Rick Rodriguez has created a marvelous harmony of flavor using a combination of 4 diverse Nicaraguan & Honduran fillers with a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and rolled them in a lustrous Ecuadorian Habano Rosado capa. The smoke starts with a kick of pepper then rounds out to a subtle sweetness. Though widths vary, each Concert vitola is 5½-inches long. Order some of these melodic masterpieces now.
First let me just start off by saying that I didn't expect much from this cigar, being a new line from CAO. Well I was completely wrong in my predisposition. The cigar is well textured and has a good feel, it compresses slightly when squeezed. The wrapper suits the name, it has the appearance of a fine leather jacket. As for the construction, it's very well built. The first ash lasted 1.5 inches, and it's not that it let go, it's that it went out and I had to break it off to relight it. Great cigars do that, like the intermission of an epic concert. The burn was perfectly even, and pleasantly slow, all the way through. The cigar produced plentiful and aromatic smoke, but not too thick. The draw was quite balanced, not too easy, not too hard, although it did get slightly tighter at around the halfway point. My favorite part was probably the aroma, it filled the room with a great smell (some cigars leave the room smelling kinda funky). In the taste department, its just like the description says, starts off with a kick of spice and then mellows out, with a few resurgences of spicyness. Like a rock concert, its not too complex: you have some idea of what it's gonna sound (taste) like but then there's a few surprises here and there. Overall an excellent cigar, I'll give it an A (93). Would definitely buy again!
