Let’s start with the Rocky Patel Vintage Connecticut 1999 Churchills, featuring RP’s renowned Connecticut Shade seed wrapper – they offer mild-to-medium notes of cedar, coffee, toasted nuts, cream, with a subtle spice. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo chose a Honduran Olancho San Augustin wrapper for the E.P. Carrillo Essence Honduras Robustos, giving the medium-bodied blend a heartier character and adding earth, cedar, roasted coffee, and toasted nuts to the profile. Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch Rambo cigars use AGANORSA Leaf’s Nicaraguan Shade-Grown Corojo Maduro, and its pepper, leather, and spice, to create a darker and more robust smoking experience. For full Maduro magic, the Blackened By Drew Estate Toros use an oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro to finish off the triple-Maduro blend, full of espresso, dark chocolate, charred oak, and black pepper.
