The RoMa Craft Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 is a medium-bodied cigar that uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The cigar was blended by Skip Martin, co-founder of RoMa Craft Tobac, and was released in 2023.
The Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 is named after the Volstead Act, which was the law that created prohibition in the United States in the 1920s. The cigar's blend is designed to be a lighter-bodied option than some of RoMa Craft Tobac's other cigars, and it offers notes of earth, leather, and spice. Skip and his team developed this Volstead VO 1920 project as a means of protesting the surge of anti-tobacco sentiment in the last six decades. The individual vitolas are named after an influential figure or term that arose during the Prohibition Era.
Thankfully there is not a tobacco prohibition looming in the near future for the USA, so stay smoky my friends, and grab a box of your choice from the RoMa Craft Intemperance Volstead VO 1920 lineup today!
