Macanudo Mao 2016 cigars are a limited edition selection that boasts a superior wrapper leaf with an unprecedented shape, color, combustibility and flavor. Using a proprietary accelerated regeneration process, these tobaccos began by growing 1960's-vintage seeds on an experimental half-acre plot in the U.S. Connecticut River Valley. After the seeds were harvested, they were sent to the fertile Mao region of the Dominican Republic, for planting. Following the ideal growing conditions in both regions and climates over a four-year period, the final tobacco used is an improved version of where it began, resulting in a Connecticut Shade wrapper that is not only unique in strength, flavor, and disease resistance, but maintains the true flavor of the original seed. Simply stated, there is no other wrapper tobacco like it on earth.
As for the rest of the blend, the filler consists of Dominican tobaccos from the Mao region, plus Columbian and Nicaraguan Estelí tobaccos with a Mexican San Andrés binder. So how does it taste? In a word: Extraordinary!
Made in in a limited edition of 1,800 numbered boxes per shape, Macanudo Mao 2010 is a must for Macanudo cigar smokers and every cigar smoker who wants to enjoy a truly amazing cigar.
