Warped Cigars

Kyle Gellis grew up in upstate New York surrounded by cigar culture, thanks to his father's passion for the leaf. After studying Marketing in Florida, Gellis decided he wanted to learn the cigar industry from the ground up. In August 2008, while smoking on his patio, he made the 90-mile trip to Miami's Little Havana and went door to door, asking every small factory for a chance to learn. Most doors slammed in his face. One factory said yes.

Gellis blended, smoked, adjusted, and repeated. Feedback came from friends, fellow smokers, and cigar forums, all helping him refine what a Warped cigar should be. The goal became clear: honor traditional Cuban methods while introducing new tastes and styles. Today, Warped cigars roll at El Titan de Bronze, the legendary Calle Ocho factory where expert torcedors trained in Cuban factories before leaving Havana. Every roller knows the Cuban way, making Warped as close to Havana as you can get without stepping foot on the island.

Gellis obsesses over the Corona Gorda format, specifically the 5 5/8 x 46 size. That classic shape appears in every Warped line, from El Oso to the entire portfolio. El Oso, Spanish for the Bear, brings a complex three-nation blend wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano. Expert handiwork from El Titan de Bronze shines through in every draw, balancing earth, spice, and depth with precision. Warped cigars prove that a newcomer rooted in generations of tradition can carve a unique path. Kyle Gellis built the brand on feedback, persistence, and respect for the craft.
